George is an experienced accountant, company director and management consultant. After graduating from the University of Glasgow, he trained as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in the City, before moving into industry.
After several years working in Europe and the Far East, he returned to Ernst & Young's consulting practice, focusing on corporate strategy, corporate finance and business turnarounds, before being head hunted by Bacon & Woodrow to run their business performance practice.
George has a keen interest in business education and publishes in professional and peer reviewed journals, as well as presenting regularly at international conferences. He is a visiting fellow at the University of Queensland Business School and an external examiner at Dublin Business School.
He is an experienced business mentor/executive coach and designs and delivers a range of short courses and workshops as part of his role within williams|grant Leadership and Executive Development .
He specialises in corporate finance, business development and turnaround strategy. He consults to a wide range of clients from SMEs to global banks and non bank financial institutions. He has a keen interest in entrepreneurial companies and business innovation.
